I take most of my photos when I’m out in the mornings with my dogs. August has been a strange month as most of the mornings have been dull and overcast although it often brightened up later. There are a few flowers in bloom but many have gone to seed and the fruit is beginning to grow and ripen. Splat and I have enjoyed several bramble breakfasts in the fresh air.
There was a moodiness in the air on the days I took these shots and it wasn’t all down to the Lensbaby Single glass optic.
I hope you enjoy the photos. For more great shots please follow the links to see what others in the blog circle have been photographing in August. Next up is Jessica Verdiere at Kleine Fotokiste
I can’t believe I’m two thirds of the way through my Lensbaby 365 challenge.
In August I was shooting with the Single glass optic which is one of the older Lensbaby optics. I love the softness of these lenses when at their widest aperture. Most of these shots are at f2.
To get the close ups I used the *4 macro filter.
My memories of August were it was a dull almost over cast month, especially when I was out with my camera. The light seems to change about half way through the month and the mornings have certainly felt much darker over the last few weeks. It won’t be long til I’m getting up in the dark again.
How quickly times flies!
One of the challenges this week was to take a photo around midday when the sun and contrast are strongest. My challenge for June is to take a photo each day using the Lensbaby Pin Hole/Zone Plate optic.
It’s one of the older optics and when there is good contrast the zone plate optic produces a lovely glow. I had a play taking shots of the flowers in the lawn, before it was cut.
While out on my walk, I went to see how the little bunch of snowdrops were doing. The last time I checked, they were beginning to come out. Today, despite being under the trees they were covered in snow.
